Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) is the standard  markup language  for documents designed to be displayed in a  web browser .

Web browsers  receive HTML documents from a  web server  or from local storage and  render  the documents into multimedia web pages. HTML describes the structure of a  web page   semantically  and originally included cues for the appearance of the document.

HTML elements  are the building blocks of HTML pages.HTML provides a means to create  structured documents  by denoting structural  semantics  for text such as headings, paragraphs, lists,  links , quotes and other items. HTML elements are delineated by tags, written using  angle brackets .

HTML is being widely used to format web pages with the help of different tags available in HTML language. HTML is a must to learn language for students and working professionals to become a great Software Engineer specially when they are working in Web Development Domain
